16) How can I observe the eclipse by projecting the image of the Sun?
A safe way to view the eclipse is to project the image of the Sun onto paper, a screen, or a wall.
The simplest method is to use two pieces of opaque cardboard, one of which has a small hole in it. Standing with your back to the sun, hold the cardboard with the hole in it so that the sun's rays fall more or less perpendicularly on it and the light passing through the hole is projected onto the other piece of cardboard, which acts as a screen. Another way is to project the image of the sun onto a wall using a hand mirror completely covered with paper with a half-centimeter hole cut out of it.
These completely safe procedures have the advantage of allowing a group of people to observe the phenomenon at the same time, which makes it possible to comment on it and provides entertainment during the long wait for the Sun to eclipse.
