Expo_Color_Intro1

An invitation to take a fresh look and discover that color is more than meets the eye

"Color: An Explosion of Science" invites you to explore color through the lenses of physics, chemistry, biology, evolution, and perception.

Through natural specimens, zoological specimens, minerals, photographs, and striking videos, the exhibition explores how color is produced, how we perceive it, and how living beings use it.

3rd, 4th, and 5th GRADE
How is a rainbow formed?

How does light behave? Why do we see objects as a certain color? Schoolchildren will explore these questions through observation, experimentation, and hands-on activities with materials.

6th Grade, 1st and 2nd Years of ESO
Color in Nature: Pigment, Light, or Chemistry?

Students will investigate different ways of producing color using examples from the plant and animal kingdoms. They will discover how some microscopic structures can generate colors without the need for pigments and learn about organisms capable of producing their own light.
