One of the main objectives of the Science Museum of the University of Navarra is to bring the results and methods of research activity closer to society, especially to young people, encouraging curiosity, creativity, innovation, rigour, passion and commitment to science. It also seeks to promote scientific culture in society by disseminating the knowledge of experts in the different branches of science, and offers resources to schools to teach aspects related to science in a practical, active and entertaining way.

To this end, it joins the worldwide celebration of Science and Technology Weeks, which traditionally take place in November. The Science Museum, with the collaboration of the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) / Ministry of Science and Innovation, has been organising this event uninterruptedly since 2007, seeking to draw the attention of society, particularly schoolchildren, to the scientific profession, the value of science and the importance of society's participation in its development with a full programme of varied activities aimed at both the general public and educational centres in Navarre.

Open door activities, guided visits to the Science Museum and research centres, experimental workshops for schoolchildren, conferences and exhibitions are promoted, attracting more than a thousand people each year, mainly schoolchildren.
