As every year, May 18 is celebrated globally as International Museum Day, which this year seeks to highlight the role that museums play in relation to key issues such as sustainability and well-being, especially in the present day.

Thus, to vindicate the motto of this edition and share it with the public, the Science Museum of the University of Navarra and the MUN have joined their celebration by promoting the free workshop The colors of biodiversityaimed at a family audience, on Saturday 20th.

Fernando Echarri, head of the educational area of the MUN, explains that "the educational area of the Museum tries to incorporate the vision and objectives of sustainability in all its activities. It is a priority for us that all people, especially children, can approach and experience through art the importance of preserving the world we live in and our proper relationship with it. Collaboration with other entities and institutions is a regular part of our work. On this occasion, we joined the Science Museum of the University of Navarra to enjoy an unforgettable family morning working on the colors of biodiversity".

For her part, Marie Anne Reynell, Director of Development at the Science Museum, stresses that "the resilience needed to adapt to climate change is directly linked to science education, to activities that connect urban youth with the natural environment, and to values education that encourages young people to develop a sense of social justice and ethical behavior in the face of reality. In this context, the role of museums is extremely important".
