The University of Navarra has signed a collaboration agreement with the Banco Sabadell Foundation by which the entity will contribute 10,000 euros for the series of conferences entitled "For a sustainable future", organized by the Science Museum of the University of Navarra.

The agreement was signed by Miquel Molins, President of the Banco Sabadell Foundation, and Alfonso Sánchez-Tabernero, Rector of the University. The rector thanked the institution for its generosity: "Thanks to the collaboration of institutions such as the Banco Sabadell Foundation, we can implement initiatives that allow us to make our commitment to sustainability a reality. From the University we work to put at the service of society the knowledge and research developed by our professionals with the intention of doing our bit for the environment".

For his part, Miquel Molins said that "it is a privilege for the Banco Sabadell Foundation to collaborate with the University of Navarra, an institution committed to the environment and sustainability through initiatives as relevant as its Science Museum. The launch of a series of informative conferences for young people such as "For a sustainable future" is the best example of this".

"For a sustainable future"

"For a sustainable future" is a series of informative lectures aimed at all audiences, organized by the Science Museum of the University of Navarra, where sustainability is addressed from different approaches.

The objective of these sessions is to inform with rigor and clarity about different aspects related to sustainability and the environment, which are very present in the media and, by extension, in public opinion. The lectures are given by professors and researchers from the University of Navarra and invited experts from other institutions.

The first session, entitled "The decade of nitrogen, beyond climate change", will take place on Friday 4th June at the Palacio del Condestable and will be given by Luis Lassaletta, Doctor in Biology and Ramón y Cajal researcher at the Polytechnic University of Madrid. On the other hand, and on the occasion of World Environment Day, the Science Museum has also organized workshops and activities for the general public in the Plaza del Castillo on Saturday June 5th.
