A year ago, the Science Museum of the University of Navarra published "Women in Science", a book that made visible in a pleasant and accessible way the biography of relevant women scientists who are unknown to the general public. This project began in 2019 with a series of animation that, through short comic-like videos, narrate in a simple, entertaining and rigorous way the biography of relevant female scientists in different areas of research. Due to the success of the project, we now propose to give it a new impulse and diffusion with this book. In it you will discover female references that have marked the history of science with their discoveries and contributions: from the ingenuity of Ada Lovelace to create the first computer thanks to a loom, to the innate curiosity of a girl like Mary Anning who discovered the dinosaurs. Thanks to the different challenges posed by the book and the links to the original videos, you will learn about their history and their role in the advancement of science and technology.
In this year 2024 we would like to present the Catalan and Basque versions of "Women in Science":
