Flora and Fauna Biomarathon
The Science Museum of the University of Navarra carries out various Citizen Science activities. An important event on the calendar is the Flora and Fauna Biomarathon promoted every year by the Terrabiota association, which this year will be held from April 28 to May 1, 2023. During these days citizens will be able to photograph or record audio recordings of the living beings of Pamplona and its metropolitan area, and upload them to the iNaturalist platform, where the observations of the participants will be recorded. These photographs can be identified until May 7 and, one day later, the global presentation of results will take place.
Family activity
The University of Navarra Science Museum has organized a family activity to learn about the fauna and flora of the campus of the University of Navarra and to contribute to the Pamplona 2023 Biomarathon.
Families will be able to walk freely around the university campus identifying the species they find along the way and will have an information point where Biology professors from the University's Faculty of Sciences will provide advice on species identification, take a botanical tour and provide information on the different sampling methods used in animal and plant diversity such as nets, sheets, insect traps and micromammals, among others.

* On Friday, April 28, schools and institutes of Navarra that wish to do so will be able to discover, accompanied by their teachers, the biodiversity of the campus of the University of Navarra. The Science Museum will provide information material and advice for the visit. There will also be a census of aquatic fauna in the Sadar River as it passes through the University. Prior registration is required for these activities at museociencias@unav.es.
