WHAT ARE BIOMA BOXES?
The Bioma Boxes are portable educational packages designed by the Science Museum of the University of Navarra to enrich school visits throughout the school year. They contain real pieces or replicas of the museum's collection, manipulative materials, guides and resources adapted to different educational levels.
These tools offer an interactive and transversal experience that reinforces learning before, during or after the museum visit. They are also available for occasional use in schools.

Bioma Boxes are designed to fit the characteristics and needs of each educational level. Their content and methodology are adapted to the cognitive development and corresponding pedagogical objectives, guaranteeing a rich, meaningful and accessible educational experience for all students.
Primary Education:
At this stage, activities focus on discovery through observation and manipulation of real or representative materials. Students' natural curiosity is stimulated and active learning is encouraged through visual, tactile and playful dynamics. The contents are presented in a simple and visual way, facilitating the understanding of basic concepts of the natural environment or geological time.
Secondary Education:
The approach is oriented towards conceptual deepening and the development of scientific thinking . The activities allow experimentation, analysis and reflection, integrating knowledge of natural sciences, geology or biology in an applied way. Student autonomy , the formulation of hypotheses and the connection between theory and reality are promoted, consolidating key competencies of the science curriculum.
Inclusion and accessibility:
Bioma Boxes are also used with groups of people with special educational needs, adapting the pace and methodological approaches to ensure active, inclusive and enriching participation.
