The Science Museum of the University of Navarra -in collaboration with the City Council of Pamplona- has organized activities for all audiences to commemorate World Environment Day (June 5).

On Saturday, June 3, the Science Museum will be on Avenida de Carlos III in Pamplona (intersection with Avda. Roncesvalles) from 11 am to 2 pm, where attendees can enjoy a selection of pieces from the collection and also the viewing of some animals with a magnifying glass.

Marie-anne Reynell, Director of Development at the Science Museum, pointed out how important it is for children to learn about the role of insects: "They are a fundamental part of the food chain as they serve as food for many amphibians, birds and mammals. In addition, they work as pollinators and also as decomposers of organic matter and seed dispersers. They are a fundamental part in the maintenance of ecosystems".

During these hours, the little ones will be able to enjoy workshops that will be held at 11 a.m., 12 p.m. and 1 p.m. and will revolve around insects and pollination. Volunteers from the Science Museum will guide the children in the workshop on seed bombs so that they "learn about a simple, economical and efficient cultivation technique for reforestation, greening and soil regeneration".
