Nearly 5,000 people visit the exhibition "Dinosaurs Among Us" organized by the Science Museum University of Navarra
The exhibit, created by the American Museum of Natural History (New York), has been on display at the University's Science Building for two months.

Nearly 5,000 people have visited the exhibition "Dinosaurs Among Us", a creation of the American Museum of Natural History in New York that narrates the relationship that exists between dinosaurs and present-day birds, and that the Science Museum of the University of Navarra has inaugurated in Spain. The exhibition, which opened on October 6th, has remained in the Science Building of the University of Navarra until November 25th.
"We are very happy with the reception of this exhibition, which has allowed us to tell the Navarrese society, with a scientific basis and in an informative way, thatdinosaurs were never completely extinct and that they are among us in the form of birds. The high level of participation, both in the visits to the exhibition and in the different activities that took place around it, makes us excited to start working on the next one", explains Marie-Anne Reynell, Development Director of the Science Museum of the University of Navarra.
Half of the visits to the exhibition have been boys and girls from different schools and institutes of the Community of Foral -Infant, Primary and ESO-: San Juan de la Cadena, CPEIP García Galdeano, José María Huarte, Miravalles-El Redín, Luis Amigó, Amaiur, Regina Pacis, IES Basoko, BHI Eunate, Instituto Mendillorri, San Cernin, Escolapios Tafalla, Irabia-Izaga, Nuestra Señora del Huerto, Colegio público Iturrama, Jesuitas, Mendillorri Public School, Santa Catalina, Erreniega Public School, Ezcaba Public School, San Jorge School, Sierra de Leire, IES Padre Moret-Irubide, Claret Larraona, Nicasio Landa Public School, CEIP San Francisco de Pamplona.
Other centers such as clinics, day hospitals, associations, senior centers and special education schools are also among the attendees: El Molino, Tasubinsa Occupational Center, CRPS Félix Garrido, Tximeleta School, Solera Day Center, Amavir Mutilva and Ujué Unitary School.
A scientific conversation at different levels
The exhibition has consisted of explanatory panels created by the American Museum of Natural History in New York, and has been enriched with some pieces from the Science Museum of the University of Navarra (Sauropod egg replica, Titanosaurid eggshells, and nests) and from the Dinosaur Museum of Salas de los Infantes in Burgos (Iguanodon femur, theropod footprint, Pterosaur phalanx and tooth, and Megalosaurid, Camarasaurus, Spinosaurid and Tyrannosauroid teeth).
In addition, the Science Museum of the University of Navarra has organized, within the framework of this exhibition, various activities for all audiences, in order to promote a scientific conversation at various levels. Therefore, there has been a training day for teachers, a scientific documentary screening, talks with experts in paleontology and evolution, family workshops and a specific program for schools.
"Dinosaurs Among Us" is organized by the American Museum of Natural History in New York with the support of the North Museum of Nature and Science (United States), the Philip J. Currie Museum (Canada), the Museo de Ciencias Universidad de Navarra (Spain), and the Universum Museo de las Ciencias de la UNAM ( Mexico). For the development of the exhibition in Pamplona, the Museo de Ciencias Universidad de Navarra has been sponsored by the City Council of Pamplona, the Spanish Foundation for Science and Technology (FECYT) / Ministry of Science and Innovation, Acunsa and Caja Rural de Navarra, as well as with the collaboration of the Fundación Ciganda Ferrer-Colegio El Molino and the Museo de Dinosaurios de Salas de los Infantes (Burgos).
