During five consecutive Saturdays, between September 29 and October 27, all those interested in the field of science communication have an appointment at the Seminar on Science Communication and Dissemination, promoted by the Science Museum of the University of Navarra.

This edition -which recovers an initiative that was already taught in 2008 and 2011- will feature 14 experts, among them the chemist and popularizer Deborah García Bello -scientific youtuber in the channel Deborahciencia and author of books such as "Todo es cuestión de química" and "Que se le van las vitaminas!"; Jordi Portabella -director of the Scientific Dissemination Area and CosmoCaixa of the La Caixa Banking Foundation-; Lucas Sánchez -director of Scienseed-; Heber Longás -scientific infographer at El País and currently at Fundamentium-; Javier Armentia -astrophysicist and director of Pamplonetario-; and Elena Gascón -president of the Official College of Dieticians-Nutritionists of Navarra.

According to Ignacio López-Goñi, director of the Science Museum, "every day more than 7,000 scientific articles are published in the world, many of which will never be cited or read. In science today, if you are not visible, you disappear. Therefore, it is highly recommended that at least one of the members of a research team has scientific communication skills". This seminar, which will be held from 10 am to 2 pm at the Science Library of the academic center, is a training activity aimed at improving skills and competencies for science communication.

Other speakers will be the also professors and researchers of the Faculty of Communication of the University of Navarra Alex Navas -Professor of Sociology-, Silvia Corzo -doctorate student who will talk about Science on Instagram-; Belén Torregrosa -consultant and expert in storytelling-; and Bienvenido León, who will organize a practice on how to make a video about science for social networks.

In this sense, each day will end with a practical session on how to record a popularization podcast -by Eva Caballero, journalist of La mecánica del caracol, in Radio Euskadi-; how to make a science infographic -with the aforementioned infographer Heber Longás-; a workshop to teach chemistry with fun experiments -by the hand of the professor of the Faculty of Sciences José Ramón Isasi-; and on different platforms to communicate science in the XXI century, taught by Lucas Sánchez, from Scienseed.

Registration for the seminar is now open on the Science Museum's website.
