The #LabMeCrazy! science film festival will screen the best science documentaries in Pamplona.
From February 13 to 24, the Science Museum of the University of Navarra organizes screenings of the finalist films, colloquiums with experts, and a program of scientific activities for all audiences.

The V edition of #LabMeCrazy! Science Film Festival will be held in Pamplona from February 20 to 24 and will bring to the public through film some relevant topics such as nuclear energy, ocean conservation, artificial intelligence, and the figure of the Spanish primatologist Jordi Sabater Pi. In this edition of the festival , 1,442 productions from 108 countries have participated.
"Once again this year, the reception has been impressive. Not only because of the number but also because of the level of production. We believe that the films we are going to screen are going to surprise," notes Bienvenido León, director of #LabMeCrazy! Science Film Festival.
On Tuesday 20th, at 7:00 pm at the University of Navarra Museum, the festival awards gala will be held, presented by the scientist and humorist Helena González Burón. The gala will be a show in which there will be videos about science, science and humor monologues, and a circus show by Alodeyá Circo. The festival will recognize the best documentary or report, television program, video for the web or social networks, production made by students, and work produced by a university or research center. In addition, the "Passion for Science" award will be presented to the researcher and paleontologist Juan Luis Arsuaga, for his excellent career in the promotion of scientific communication and culture.
From February 21 to 24, some of the finalist documentaries of the festival will be screened at 7 p.m. at the Golem Baiona (Av. de Bayona, 56, Pamplona). On Wednesday 21 will be screened the documentary "Nuclear Now", a production that reflects the role that nuclear energy can play to help mitigate climate change. The screening will be followed by a discussion with Diego Maza, director of the Department of Physics and Applied Mathematics, and Clara González, from the School of Communication, both from the University of Navarra.
On Thursday 22nd it will be the turn of "Maa-yiem, the extraordinary story of Jordi Sabater Pi", which narrates the research of this Spanish primatologist. After the screening, Alfonso Par, director of the documentary, will engage in a conversation with the professor of the Faculty of Communication Lucía Gastón.
On Friday 23rd, "Made to Measure" will be screened, which explores what some companies like Google or Facebook do with the personal data of billions of people. The screening will be followed by a discussion with José Antonio Cruceira, head of the Economic and Technological Crime Team of the Judicial Police of the Guardia Civil in Navarra, and Enrique Guerrero, professor at the Faculty of Communication at the University of Navarra.
On Saturday 24, "Ocean Odyssey" will be screened, an Australian production that brings us closer to the journey of two whales in their great migration from the warm tropics to the icy waters of Antarctica. After the screening, Lourdes Esqueda, professor of the School of Communication, will engage in a conversation with marine biologist María Calvo.
