The Science Museum of the University of Navarra launches the series "Tuesdays on Mars" to bring society closer to the reality of the red planet.

During four Tuesdays, different experts will analyze, in an informative way, the latest news about the planet Mars.

The Science Museum of the University of Navarra, in collaboration with the Planetarium of Pamplona and Laboral Kutxa, have organized "Tuesdays on Mars", a series of sessions aimed at bringing society, in an informative way and from the hand of experts, the latest news about this planet.

The series will begin on Tuesday April 13 with the session "Conquering Mars: the space missions" to be given by Iñaki Ordóñez, researcher of the Planetary Sciences group of the University of the Basque Country UPV/EHU. On Tuesday April 20 it will be the turn of Javier Armentia, astrophysicist and director of the Pamplona Planetarium, who will talk to the audience about "The red planet". The third conference will be held on April 27 and will be given by Carlos Briones, CSIC scientist at the Center for Astrobiology, with the title "Martians: in search of extraterrestrial life". On the last Tuesday (May 4th) Fernando Jáuregui, astrophysicist of the Pamplona Planetarium, will hold a special session in the Tornamira room of the Planetarium.

All sessions will begin at 19:00 hours and the first three will be held in person in the Assembly Hall of the Science Building of the University of Navarra -with limited seating capacity and following the recommendations of the health authorities- and can also be followed live through the YouTube channel of the Science Museum

"Tuesdays on Mars" is a series of lectures that is part of the series "The Science Museum Explains", an activity where current scientific topics are addressed with rigor, clarity and by experts.
