The campus of the University of Navarra has won the People's Choice award among this year's winners of the Green Flag Award and enters the top ten of the world's favorite parks. With 113 hectares and 4,190 trees of 173 different species, it is the first university campus and the first park in Spain to be part of this top ten.

The University campus was one of the most voted among the more than 2,000 parks from 15 countries that have obtained the Green Flag this year. The campaign took place last November through social networks. In total, 50,000 votes were cast.

The People's Choice Award was created to encourage people to show their support and recognition for their local green spaces. "The award was originally established to provide a platform to recognize parks, well-managed green spaces and the people who care for them each year," explained Carl McLClean, International Development Manager for the Green Flag Award.

Recently, the campus of the University of Navarra received for the third consecutive year the Green Flag Award for excellence in the management of its green spaces, which places it as one of the best parks in Europe.
