The science camps "Cienceando" -organized by the Science Museum of the University of Navarra- gather this summer more than two hundred children.

Lunar sand, bouncing planet, arteroids, the force of the invisible, explosive art, fire in the hand, elephant tooth paste, centrifugarte, Coca-Cola and Mentos, sweet rainbow, painting by gravity, borax crystals, are some of the experiments carried out by the attendees of the Chemistry camps that took place during the month of July.

In August and September (from 26 to 30 and from 2 to 6 respectively), nature camps will be held, also aimed at children between 6 and 14 years old. In these camps, children will participate in recycling workshops, analyze water quality, identify birds, among many other activities.

This initiative, promoted for the first time by the Science Museum of the University of Navarra, adopts "hands-on learning" as a learning method, or active learning, which seeks to awaken the interest of children to discover for themselves the processes and principles of science through exploration and experimentation.
