"The camps we organize are a clear reflection of our educational project, they are a window to discovery, where children have learned that science is in everything around us, and that it is vital to understand and care for the world we live in," says Marie-anne Reynell, director of development at the Science Museum University of Navarra.

In the nature camps, children have been able to learn about the biodiversity of soil, air and water, and how to protect it. The learning has been done through games, experiments, crafts and activities to observe the fauna and flora of the campus of the University of Navarra.

In the chemistry camps, the students experimented with water, earth, wind, fire and light. Following the scientific method, and adapting the explanations to the level of each child, concepts such as surface tension, combustion, crystallization, convection current, vortex, velocity, density, and osmosis, among others, were introduced.

The urban camps of the Science Museum of the University of Navarra are aimed at kindergarten and elementary school children and are designed as a fun way to spend the summer learning and enjoying science. The learning program has been designed by Chemistry teachers and the Science Museum team, and is taught by undergraduate students in Science, Education and Psychology at the University of Navarra.
