The University of Navarra wanted to recognize the contributions of donors, individuals, institutions and companies who, over more than 70 years of history, have helped to promote the projects of the academic center and thus further its mission.

A totem has been placed next to the entrance of the Central building to express gratitude for all these contributions. The event was attended by numerous professionals from the academic center and donors.

"Donations give us the freedom we need to do research, to recruit talent, to reach more young people. Thanks to the contributions of so many friends, we are able to attract and retain the best students, researchers, professors and professionals. This talent is the engine that drives our university forward," said University of Navarra President María Iraburu

He also recalled that the University of Navarra is a non-profit institution and through donations it is possible to develop research projects, build new facilities or allocate more funds for scholarships.

"Today, many professionals of the University have gathered with a single motive: to express our gratitude to those who have gone before us. People who, with their generosity, vision and effort, have laid the foundations on which we continue to build more than 70 years later. And we are deeply grateful to the donors, present and future, whose collaboration makes it possible for the University to leave a mark on society. Our growth and sustainability depend on more and more people trusting in the University and supporting us with their generosity," concluded the President.

At present, 7,732 donors support the University's various projects. In the last academic year 2022-23, 24.8 million euros from donations were allocated to the development of initiatives such as the Alumni Scholarship program, research projects and the construction of the Bioma Center
